having fun is cool: if you think too hard, you will never tcb
(this is me taking care of business)
hello hi hello,
I’m once again back from the void, and a lot has happened, so we must get straight to business. since early September, I have been in, out, and around. here are two visual highlights from the last months:

I thought a few times about making a newsletter but decided to wait until I REALLY had thoughts and ideas to send into the world.
but that moment never came!
so instead, I’m going to compile a few recommendations and call it a day, and then I’ll call it a year, even, because it’s about to be 2025.
spooky as hell how that happens (the passage of time).
and to mark the passage of time, here are even a few more things that happened to me:

and now without further ado, here are some things I enjoyed in the past months:
BOOK CIRCLE:
serviceberry - robin wall kimmerer does it again !! the gift economy will make you (me) want to stop shopping, which if you know me is a big deal because I love to consume :/ this book will confirm being a grinch is a-ok because buying a ton of nonsense that people don’t really need is extractive and bad for our girl (earth) !! scarcity is fake !! make a pie and give it to your loved ones instead !!
kairos - jenny erpenbeck will show you why it’s a bad idea to be a 17-year-old girly in love with a 40-something married guy and then continue to torture yourself for years by putting up with his nonsense. the thing about this book is the structure begins to crumble under its own weight in the second half in a way that really rocks.
slouching toward bethlehem - joan didion will let you know why the NYC to LA pipeline hasn’t changed at all in the last 56 years, and so even though time passes, nothing happens in a way that is very cool.
MOVIE DIPTYCH:
casino - scorsese showing robert deniro and joe pesci doing crime in las vegas will never get old. it may be three hours long, but they’re three hours that I couldn’t stop thinking about sharon stone being the most perfect hopped up drunk I’ve ever seen.
the fall - tarsem singh was right! if you’re a person that makes ads for money, you can make a gorgeous film in scope and look on the side for four years and make it princess bride for adults. I spent the second half crying because the little girl was soooo cute. you can stream this on mubi and you should.
GOOP LOOP:
air angel - dieux does it right. this is a lightweight but hydrating moisturizer that doesn’t break me out. which is a more challenging feat than you might think. you can get it 20% off at sephora through the 15th.
POEM ZONE:
a little draft from past me, to present you.
RESEARCH CORNER:
there have been more than 30,000 languages spoken on earth throughout all known time.
MEME SQUARE:

these are some things big and small that have been knocking around in my noggin, and I hope you enjoyed.
peace and blessings, until 2025 !!
xoxo
